Giving Dolly a Halloween Party

This is a full-base paper doll by Carolyn Chester, originally published in The Delineator, October 1912.
I think it one of the coolest paper doll pages that I have ever seen. It is frameable as is but could also be used as a collage or scrapbooking element. It would make a fast and fabulous Halloween card or party invitation.
The digital image is 3000 by4500 pixels - large enough for great detail and clarity when printed out but this image could also be resized and used in a wide variety of projects. This and other full-base paper dolls are available at digitalpaperdolls

Dottie Darling goes to a Halloween Party

Here is an excellent example of a double sided paper doll - a doll with a front and a back and usually hinged. Even her black cat and her Halloween bat are double sided as are her clothes. The artist who created Dottie Darling was Corinne Pauli Waterall.
The dolls in this series very strongly resemble the Dolly Dingle dolls of Grace Drayton (who was also the creator of the Campbell Soup kids). Dolly Dingle was the monthly paper doll of the Pictorial Review from 1916 to 1933.
This Dottie Darling page was originally published in the Pictorial Review of October 1933

Halloween Hilarity

Halloween is coming and just after that is Thanksgiving
If it feels like I want to rush into Autumn - you're absolutely right
I am a cool weather person - I tolerate summer because it makes other people happy and because I really can't do much about it.

What makes me happy is-

Autumn leaves turning colour
Crisp red apples
Early morning frost
Seeing your breath
Sweaters
Scarves
The first snowfall

I have lots of great autumn themed digital paper doll images to share this month.

The image today is "Halloween Hilarity" by artist John Dukes McKee and was originally published in 1931, a great animated paper toy. (not technically a paper doll)

If you are interested in the larger size image (2500 by 3500 pizels) please visit my web store digitalpaperdolls

This image would be fun just printed out and used for paper play but this image could also be used in collage and scrapbooking.

Fun image for party invitations.
